Tyrod Taylor On Week 1 Injury Report
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor (calf) is on the team's Week 1 injury report, but he got in a full practice on Wednesday and should be fine for the season opener at the Bengals on Sunday. The Chargers officially named Taylor the starter to open the season last week, while first-round rookie Justin Herbert will be the backup. The 31-year-old will run what's expected to be a more run-heavy offense in 2020. While the Virginia Tech alum can use his legs to make plays, the fact that he won't make a ton of passing attempts like Philip Rivers will keep his fantasy ceiling low. He should have a longer leash than originally expected, but Taylor should only be started as a low-end QB in superlex leagues against Cincinnati.
