Long-time NFL defensive back Tyrann Mathieu has announced his retirement from football, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Mathieu, 33, played 12 NFL seasons from 2013-2024, spending time with the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and New Orleans Saints. The "honey badger" was a three-time first-team All-Pro selection and a Super Bowl champion with the 2019 Chiefs. He finishes his career with 36 interceptions, seven forced fumbles, 45 TFLs, 11 sacks, and exactly 100 passes defensed.
