Tyler Mahle Earns Sixth Win On Friday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle allowed four runs over six innings in an 11-5 win over the Colorado Rockies on Friday. Aided by 11 runs of support through the first six innings, Mahle cruised through five scoreless innings before running into trouble in the sixth. Overall, Mahle struck out six and walked one in the win with his big mistake coming in the form of a two-run homer off of the bat of Ryan McMahon. He now has a 6-2 record, 3.56 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 78 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings of work. Mahle has been a top-tier fantasy starter this season and should remain active for his next start, which will come against the Milwaukee Brewers.
