Tyler Higbee 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Courageous Comeback Story
Tyler Higbee was a fantasy washout in 2024. He missed the majority of the season because he suffered a horrible injury during the 2023 playoffs that forced him to have surgery on the ACL, MCL and meniscus in his right knee. After 11 months of arduous rehab, Higbee triumphantly returned to score two touchdowns in the final three games of the regular season, then caught a dozen passes for 112 yards and a TD in the Rams' two playoff contests. Higbee will be back to 100 percent to start the 2025 season and should get more snaps and targets than the Rams other multi-million-dollar tight end, Colby Parkinson. While Higbie had a scintillating five-game stretch back in 2019 where he racked up 43 receptions for 522 yards, he has never been more than a fantasy TE2 for most of his career. That should not change in 2025 with Puca Nucua and newly-signed Davante Adams ahead of him on the target totem pole in L.A. 2025 second-round pick Terrance Ferguson could also cause Higbee some fantasy headaches if he adapts to the NFL quicker than most rookie tight ends do. The best you can expect out of Higbee is a 60-600-5 line that makes him a solid TE2, but he has a better chance of putting up worse numbers than better numbers.
