Tua Tagovailoa Healthy, More Comfortable Heading Into Year 2
4 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa admitted that he "didn't know the playbook really, really good" during his rookie season. "Last year, for me, I wasn't as comfortable just in general," Tagovailoa said. "I wasn't comfortable calling plays." He also said his strength and conditioning process has changed significantly this year because of the improvements he's made with his surgically repaired hip. "My hip feels 10 times better than it did last year. The confidence level for myself, I feel really confident coming into this second year after that injury two years ago," Tagovailoa said. Tua didn't look very good last year, but we'll give him a pass due to his injury and the strange offseason due to COVID-19. Miami's offense also has some more weapons for him to utilize in Year 2. Tagovailoa is by no means close to being a QB1, but he's worth a flier as a QB2 with upside in single-year fantasy leagues.
