Troy Tulowitzki Begins Running Program
7 years agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowtizki has been out all season long due to surgery on both heels to remove bone spurs, but he is slowly making his way back. On Monday, Tulo started a running program both on the anti-gravity machine and on the ground. It doesn’t sound like he’s all that close to a return yet, though. Despite his struggles in recent years, his return to the lineup could be a welcome one. Second baseman Devon Travis is not likely to continue producing, in which case Yangervis Solarte (currently playing shortstop several days a week) could move to second permanently, opening up the spot for Tulo at short and maximizing Toronto’s lineup potential. Still, Tulowitzki certainly isn’t going to get fantasy owners excited with the way he’s produced in recent years.
