Triston McKenzie Set For Another Bullpen Session
2 years agoCleveland Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie (shoulder) threw a successful live bullpen session on May 11 and is expected to throw again in Arizona before he leaves to attend his brother's graduation on Tuesday, according to manager Terry Francona. After the graduation, McKenzie will stop back in Cleveland before going out on a minor-league rehab assignment. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is making good progress from a right teres major muscle strain in his right arm, but there's a good chance he'll need a lengthy rehab assignment before making his 2023 debut for the Guardians. McKenzie is eligible to return from the 60-day injured list on May 29. After a breakout year in 2022, he should be stashed in all fantasy formats.
