Treylon Burks 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: New Signings Bury Former First-Rounder On Depth Chart
7 months agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks disappointed in 2023, totaling just 16 receptions on 30 targets for 221 yards and no touchdowns in his second year. All three figures were down from his 2022 rookie season, even though he played the same amount of games (11) in both years. Tennessee's decision to trade A.J. Brown to Philadelphia to move up and select Burks 18th overall in 2022 looks disastrous so far. At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Burks certainly looks the part of a Brown replacement in uniform, but Brown caught 11 touchdowns and went over 1,000 yards in his own sophomore season. Burks' path to redemption looks difficult this year, and those looking for changing circumstances to support a resurgence may not find much. The Titans will enter 2024 with a loaded receiver room, having signed veterans Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to join DeAndre Hopkins, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Burks. Head Coach Brian Callahan commented in early June that Burks would need to be a special teams contributor to even warrant an active roster spot. Even a leap forward by second-year quarterback Will Levis would likely benefit Burks' teammates much more. It will likely take multiple injuries and a great improvement in skill -- not to mention better health for Burks as well -- for Burks to even be considered a waiver-wire option in 2024 redraft leagues.
