New Orleans Saints first-round rookie offensive tackle Trevor Penning (toe) suffered what is believed to be a bad case of turf toe in the preseason finale on Friday against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to sources. Penning will have an MRI exam to diagnose the damage, but he'll be out for a while. The 23-year-old had his foot stepped on in the first quarter, and he needed to be carted off the field. It's a tough break for the first-rounder, who won't be ready for the Week 1 regular season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 11. James Hurst (foot) is also dealing with an injury heading into the regular season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
