Trevor Etienne 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Faces Uphill Battle For Touches
Carolina Panthers running back Trevor Etienne will face stiff competition from the team's top-2 running backs, Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle, for any meaningful touches in the Panthers backfield in 2025. With running back Jonathan Brooks (knee) out for the season in the Physically Unable to Perform list due to his second ACL tear, Etienne is set to at least be the team's RB3. But both Hubbard and Dowdle performed well in 2024, and they're likely to form some kind of committee backfield that hogs nearly all the touches. Etienne will have time to sit and learn the scheme, but without an injury to either Dowdle or Hubbard, there isn't anything about Etienne's profile that immediately jumps out that makes you think he'll leapfrog either on the depth chart. Teams simply have to have depth pieces, and the rookie seems set to slot into one, but he's an extremely deep bench stash in dynasty leagues, with very little upside.
