Trevor Bauer's Administrative Leave Pushed Back
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer's administrative leave will be pushed back on Friday for another week until Sept. 3. Major League Baseball continues their investigation into an alleged sexual assault by Bauer, and the right-hander has been on administrative leave since July 2. More than likely, the 30-year-old from UCLA will not get back on a mound for the Dodgers the rest of the year. If Bauer doesn't pitch again in 2021, he'll finish his first season in LA with an 8-5 record, 2.59 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 137 strikeouts and 37 walks in 107 2/3 frames covering 17 starts. It remains to be seen if the 2020 National League Cy Young winner will be suspended next season on top of his administrative leave this season, and it likely depends on how the legal process plays out. It could still be a while before we have any kind of resolution.
