3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith is not listed on the team's official injury report ahead of Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers. Smith was removed from a training camp practice on Aug. 3 with an undisclosed issue and missed two weeks. He was able to return on Aug. 17, but he did not play in a single preseason game. While Smith is on track to be ready for the start of the season, it's fair to wonder if he'll be slow to produce given all the time he missed in training camp and the preseason. With Michael Thomas (ankle) out for the first month of the season, there will be opportunity for Smith and Marquez Callaway. The 25-year-old has experience and a starting gig, but Callaway has so far shown more chemistry with quarterback Jameis Winston and is slightly more attractive as a bench stash to begin the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
