Trea Turner Extends Hitting Streak To 13 Games
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner finished Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers with a 2-for-5 line, a home run, an RBI, two stolen bases, two runs scored and two strikeouts. Turner had been one of fantasy managers' biggest disappointments in his first year in the Philadelphia, but he's turned it around of late. The 30-year-old two-time All-Star is currently riding a 13-game hitting streak, dating back to Aug. 19, in which he's gone 20-for-56 (.357) with nine home runs, three doubles, a triple, 20 RBI, three stolen bases and 17 runs scored in 13 starts. The hot stretch has boosted his season slash line to .260/.310/.446 with 21 homers, 64 RBI, 25 steals and 84 runs scored in 551 at-bats. Turner hasn't been caught stealing all year, and fantasy managers can only hope he'll end 2023 on a high note.
