New York Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud has been diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow and has been placed on the 10-day disabled list. There are no other updates at this time, but it seems entirely possible that d’Arnaud may end up undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery. It’s yet another bad injury in what has become a history of them for the 29-year-old. His healthiest season was in 2014 where he still only amassed 421 plate appearances. He wasn’t exactly off to a hot start this season, either, slashing only .200/.250/.400 with one home run and three RBI across 16 plate appearances. Source: New York Mets
