Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug (upper body) has been placed on Injured Reserve ahead of his team's matchup with the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. The 28-year-old suffered an upper-body injury in his previous game against the Washington Capitals on Monday before the Christmas break. Krug will, at minimum, miss the rest of the 2019 calendar year, and it should affect the Bruins at both even strength and on the man advantage. Leading all Bruin blue-liners with 26 points (five goals, 21 assists), 15 power-play points and 71 shots on goal through 33 games, Krug should be considered a top-10 fantasy defenseman in all formats. The Bruins called up Steven Kampfer on an emergency basis.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
