Tony Santillan Solid In MLB Debut
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tony Santillan performed well in his MLB debut on Sunday. Santillan held the Colorado Rockies to one run over 4 2/3 innings of work in a 6-2 win. The rookie hurler came just one out shy of qualifying for the win while striking out five and walking four. Santillan has dealt with several assorted injuries during his minor league career but he got off to a good start in Triple-A Louisville this season, racking up 12.53 strikeouts per nine innings with a 2.51 ERA. Santillan is worth monitoring in deeper leagues in case he's able to replicate his success from Sunday. For now, he's lined up to face off against the San Diego Padres on Friday.
