Tommy Edman Returns To Thursday's Lineup
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Tommy Edman is back in Thursday's lineup against right-hander Logan Webb and the San Francisco Giants after sitting out on Wednesday. He's starting at second base and batting ninth in the lineup. Edman is hitting .267 (20-for-75) with two doubles, a triple, four home runs, nine RBI, two stolen bases and 12 runs scored in his first 23 games of the season, but he hasn't hit right-handed pitchers well at all. The 27-year-old switch-hitter has gone just 10-for-60 (.167) with a triple, a homer and four RBI in 70 plate appearances against righties. It's good to see him back in the lineup, but fantasy managers should probably keep him on their benches on Thursday until he gets going against righties.
