Titans Restructure Kevin Byard's Contract
1 year agoThe Tennessee Titans and Pro Bowl safety Kevin Byard agreed to terms on a restructured contract for the 2023 season on Friday, according to a source. Byard's base salary is now $11 million, and there are incentives that can get him back to the $14 million that he was originally owed. The Titans are freeing up some more salary cap space after agreeing to sign Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins last weekend. The 29-year-old Byard is a two-time Pro Bowler that has had over 100 combined tackles in two of the last three years with the Titans. In 17 starts in 2022, he compiled 108 tackles (69 solo), four interceptions and six passes defensed. Byard will remain a key piece in Tennessee's secondary in 2023.
