Tiger Woods returned after a two-week layoff and struggled, especially with his driver and iron game. After opening with a one-over 72 on Thursday, he could only muster a five-over 76 that put him well outside the cut line Friday. He'll get a chance to rebound as he makes his first start at the Honda Classic since 2014 when he had to withdraw after 13 holes with back spasms. A month later he would have back surgery. Now seemingly fully healthy, Woods understands the importance of playing. “I need to get some tournament rounds in and next week is a home match,” Woods said. “And I’m able to get some more work done this weekend.” While he isn't a favorite to win, all eyes will be watching to see if his game is starting to come together.--cmangano
