Three Hits For Kevin Plawecki In Return
7 years agoNew York Mets catcher Kevin Plawecki finally made his return from a hand injury on Monday against the Atlanta Braves, and what a return it was. In his first game since April 11, Plawecki finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a walk. It's exactly what you wanted to see from Plawecki, but this should not be expected daily. While he was out, the Mets acquired catcher Devin Mesoraco from the Cincinnati Reds, and he has been on fire since the trade. At the moment, it’s unclear how playing time will shake out in this platoon. It seem as though Mesoraco would have the advantage given how well he’s played, but we’re going to have to monitor the situation moving forward.
