Tejay Antone Picks Up Third Save
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tejay Antone got the final four outs of a 5-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday to earn his third save of the season. Antone held Chicago scoreless while striking out one to preserve the win. While Amir Garrett and Lucas Sims have had their struggles out of the bullpen at times this year, Antone has been a consistent relief arm for the Reds. He now has a 1-0 record, 1.61 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts over 28 innings of work. Antone seems to be the preferred ninth-inning option for Cincy at the moment, warranting him being rostered in all leagues going forward.
