Taylor Decker Making Season Debut Against Steelers
3 years agoDetroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker (finger) is active for Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will be making his season debut on Sunday. Decker was activated from Injured Reserve earlier this week and will return to his starting left tackle job as the blind-side protector for quarterback Jared Goff. With Decker back at left tackle, first-round rookie Penei Sewell, who had done a nice job on the left side, will move back to his normal spot at right tackle. Decker suffered a left index finger injury four days before the Week 1 opener and needed surgery to fix it. Matt Nelson will serve as a swing tackle off the bench now that Decker is back. Sewell will draw the primary blocking assignment on top Steelers pass-rusher T.J. Watt, so that will be a matchup to watch Sunday.
