7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos appears to have aggravated a lower-body injury that he has been dealing with for the last week. He is now listed as day-to-day and may not play against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. Head coach Jon Cooper says that there isn't a concern that Stamkos will miss any time in the playoffs, so with only three games remaining in the regular season for the Lightning, you have to think the Lightning will be conservative with their top-line pivot and give him some rest. Not having Stamkos will certainly hurt fantasy owners that were relying on him, but Stamkos has not been producing as of late, scoring no points and registering only seven shots in his last four games. Teammate Tyler Johnson filled in for Stamkos on the top line the last time he missed time due to injury, so keep Johnson on your radar until we find out more.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
