10 months agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Steven Matz (arm) will throw a simulated game on Saturday and will then be re-evaluated for a possible start in Thursday's doubleheader against the Phillies. The left-hander was blown up for seven runs in two-thirds of an inning in his last start July 31 before landing on the disabled list, but he's been pretty decent for the Mets this year (4.35 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 8.3 K/9). A return start against a first-place club isn't the most enticing for his fantasy owners, though.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
