Sidney Crosby Tallies Two Points Friday Night
2 years agoPittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby recorded a goal and an assist in Friday's high-scoring 5-4 loss to the Islanders. The Islanders have been Crosby's favorite opponents throughout his career and he had another productive outing against them, scoring his 25th goal of the season and bagging his 42nd assist. In 80 career games against the Islanders, Crosby had amassed 41 goals and 130 points. Only Jaromir Jagr (155) and Mario Lemieux (131) have been more prolific in the matchup. The veteran star has produced a number of multi-point performances in recent weeks and now has four goals and 15 assists across his last 12 appearances.
