Shohei Ohtani Done With Tommy John Rehab
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (elbow) is done with his Tommy John rehab and has been cleared to return to Japan. The Japanese two-way star will return in late January, at which time the Angels will plan out his workload for the 2020 season. Los Angeles is understandably being cautious with the 2018 American League Rookie of the Year after he missed all of the 2019 season on the mound. He went 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 11.0 K/9 in 51 2/3 innings (10 starts) for the Halos in his first season, and he's arguably more valuable in fantasy as a hurler than as a hitter. However, his return to the Angels rotation could be delayed as they handle this situation carefully.
