Shane van Gisbergen Will Likely Play It Safe At Daytona
4 months agoShane van Gisbergen will make his fifth Cup Series start of the season this weekend in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway. As far as superspeedway experience goes, SVG ran the race at Talladega earlier this year and wound up finishing 28th after starting 17th and leading three laps. This weekend, it's likely that the Kaulig Racing driver will be playing it safe during the race on Saturday night, which could end up being a good thing for DFS owners. Often times, the summer Daytona race is one filled with chaos, so simply having all six of your DraftKings drivers finish the race on the lead lap is a great thing. On Saturday night, van Gisbergen will start from 32nd-place, which gives him plenty of room to move up and earn Place Differential points. Despite his lack of experience on this track type and in the Cup Series overall, SVG is a solid pick at Daytona this weekend in DFS contests.
