Shane McClanahan Could Have Normal Start Monday
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan (back) could have close to a normal workload on Monday against the Texas Rangers in his first start back from the injured list, according to manager Kevin Cash. "Fully confident that he's healthy, and if he's efficient, I would expect it'll be very close to a normal start," Cash said. With Tampa's game last Friday being postponed, McClanahan had his first start of the second half of the season pushed back from Sunday to Monday. It's a much more difficult matchup against the potent Rangers lineup, and a lot of fantasy managers are probably shying away from him in his first start back, at least in DFS contests. Keep in mind that McClanahan hasn't thrown more than 66 pitches in game in over a month.
