6 months agoDetroit Tigers closer Shane Greene logged his 20th save of the year on Wednesday against the Royals. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning and struck out one of the three hitters he faced, bringing his season ERA to 1.00 with a strikeout rate of 9.67 per nine innings of work. Greene is on track for his best season as a Tiger by far, and his numbers don't seem like a fluke thus far: his 3.74 xFIP is his lowest number since 2014 when he was a member of the Yankees.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
