Shane Bieber Has Been Throwing Pain-Free
1 year agoCleveland Guardians right-hander Shane Bieber (elbow) started a throwing program on Aug. 2 and has been pain-free. Bieber is dealing with right-elbow inflammation after going for an MRI exam on July 14. The good news is that he won't need surgery, so he can return again in 2023. Still, Bieber will need to gradually continue building his arm back up, meaning that fantasy managers would be unrealistic to expect the 28-year-old to return before September. He's on the 60-day injured list and won't be eligible to return until mid-September. For as good as Bieber can be when he's healthy, there just won't be much time for him to contribute to fantasy lineups in the final month of the regular season.
