Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Returns With 38 Points
2 years agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ended a five-game absence with an impressive 38-point performance in Sunday's 129-118 victory over Utah. He's been battling an ankle problem, an abdominal strain and even landed in the health protocols, but none of this had any effect on Gilgeous-Alexander's form, as he finished with 10-for-17 shooting from the field and capped off his line with seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block. It was great to see SGA back, but there was also some bad news for fantasy managers on Sunday, as Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault suggested that the team will be limiting Gilgeous-Alexander's workload for the rest of the season to manage his abdominal strain. He even said that if it was the beginning of the season, Gilgeous-Alexander would be shut down, as you can only recover from the injury with rest.
