Seiya Suzuki Set For Rehab Assignment Thursday
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (finger) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa on Thursday. He joined the Cubs in Chicago on Wednesday so that he could work out for the team and so that a plan could be made for his next steps. Suzuki has been sidelined for about a month due to a sprained left ring finger. The 27-year-old began his MLB career with a burst as he slashed .387/.565/.839 with four home runs across his first two weeks in the majors. However, he cooled off significantly after that. He hasn't homered since April 17 and now owns a .245/.344/.432 slash line on the year.
