Seattle D/ST Carries Little Streaming Appeal
12 months agoSeattle's defense has been a bust for the most part in 2023. In six games this season the Seahawks have allowed 28 points or more, and have needed a hefty amount of sacks or takeaways in a game to maintain fantasy relevance. Averaging just over seven fantasy points per game, the unit has cracked double digits just three times this season. In Week 17 they will be at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers led by quarterback Mason Rudolph, who turned in a surprisingly competent performance in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers are a top-10 team in sack prevention and are tied for the league lead in fewest giveaways. Even though they have been one of this season's lowest-scoring offenses, they protect too well against what makes the Seahawks a potential streamer. Avoid Seattle in Week 17 if you can.
