Sean Manaea Expected To Miss 2019 Season
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) is expected to miss all of the 2019 season, according to manager Bob Melvin. This is big news and a surprise after it was initially reported that Manaea would only be having arthroscopic surgery. The left-hander had his best season in 2018 before the injury, going 12-9 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 108 strikeouts in 160 2/3 frames over 27 innings. We'll update you as we learn more about the details of his upcoming surgery.
