Seahawks Think Geno Smith Can Play By Thursday
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he thinks quarterback Geno Smith (elbow, triceps) will be able to make it back by Thursday night's divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. "We don't know much today, yet. But it was a good sign that he could get back in and throw," Carroll said. Smith's injury was caused when his elbow/triceps was hit by a helmet on Sunday in their 17-16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. It's a minor injury for the 33-year-old, but the short week complicates matters, and the upcoming matchup against San Fran's nasty defense won't make Smith any more appealing as a fantasy streamer on Thanksgiving night. If Seattle holds Smith out, Drew Lock would make the start for the Seahawks. We'll keep an eye on Smith's practice status this week.
