Cincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett went for an MRI on his tender right shoulder on Monday. He is still waiting for the results, but in the meantime, Gennett won't play the field anytime soon as he won't be allowed to throw for at least a few more days. Gennett served as the team's designated hitter on Sunday in Minnesota and made a pinch-hitting appearance on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Gennett has been dealing with the sore shoulder all season, which explains his four errors in the first month of action. All of the four have been throwing errors, as he has been throwing sidearm to compensate for the sore shoulder. Gennett is hitting .298 with two homers, 12 runs, and 14 RBI in 2018.--Matt T - RotoBaller
