Saquon Barkley Unlikely To Be Unleashed In Week 2
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley's (knee) production in the Week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos was very modest (11 touches for 27 yards), but it was expected in his first game back from a torn ACL on a limited snap count (48 percent of offensive snaps). Barkley didn't suffer any sort of setback and is on track to play on Thursday night against the Washington Football Team, but it's unlikely that the Giants will totally unleash him this week. The 24-year-old's snap percentage would've been higher had the Giants not pulled him on the final two drives with the game essentially over. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect week-winning production from Barkley against a strong Washington defensive front. Treat him as an RB2/3 for another week and hope he stays healthy.
