Saquon Barkley Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley tested positive for COVID-19 on his initial test on Wednesday, according to a source. He will be retested. Barkley is vaccinated, so he will need two negative tests within 24 hours and no symptoms in order to be cleared to play in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders. But Barkley is also still dealing with a low ankle sprain and hasn't played since Week 5, so this casts even more doubt on his possible return. With the Giants having their bye in Week 10, it's looking more likely that Barkley will miss yet another game. Devontae Booker had a big game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night and will be a usage-based RB2 yet again this Sunday if Barkley is ruled out.
