Nashville Predators forward Ryan Hartman has been placed on Injured Reserve to start the season. Hartman, set to enter his first full season in Nashville (traded from Chicago in February), is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. The 24-year-old struggled to generate much offense with his new team following the trade, posting just six points (three goals, three assists) in 21 regular season games. However, Hartman does have appeal in deep leagues counting hits and penalty minutes considering his 72 PIMS and 113 hits throughout the course of last season. Expected to begin the season in the Preds' bottom six forward group, Hartman could be a valuable add if he's able to earn more ice time as the season progresses. The former 30th-overall pick of the 2013 NHL Draft is currently skating and not expected to miss more than a handful of games.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
