Russell Wilson Continues To Excel On Deep Passes
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson led the league in deep passing touchdowns with 13 last year. Four of those touchdowns came on the run, too, which was also an NFL-best. The veteran signal-caller has been the best downfield passer in the league since the inception of the Next Gen Stats era in 2016, leading the league in passing yards (5,369), passing touchdowns (56), completions (156) and attempts (378) in that span. He was one of two quarterbacks with a completion percentage over expectation of +3 or better in each of the last four seasons, joining only Matthew Stafford. The 32-year-old is expected to remain in Seattle for at least the next couple seasons despite voicing his frustrations with the offense, among other things, and he should remain a top-five fantasy QB in 2021.
