Ross Stripling Stifles Marlins Over Six Innings
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling was excellent versus the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing one earned run over six innings in the club's 2-1 win. He had to settle for a no-decision in this one, but everything else about his outing was tip top including his seven punchouts to one walk and two hits allowed. The right-hander has been a different pitcher than what we saw earlier in the year since he holds a 2.29 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with 36 strikeouts over his last six games. Stripling should be scooped up wherever available for his next start versus the Orioles this weekend.
