Robinson Cano Hitting .286 Since Return From Suspension
6 years agoSeattle Mariners infielder Robinson Cano is 6-for-21 (.286) in five games since returning to the team following an 80-game suspension. All of Cano's hits have been for singles to this point and his veteran bat is certainly a positive addition to a Mariners team fighting for the playoffs. It remains to be seen, however, whether the aging Cano can recapture the kind of thunder fantasy owners have come to expect from him. Cano is slugging only .421 this season, which would be his lowest total since 2008. He also posted a slugging percentage of .420 in the second half of last season as he dealt with nagging minor leg injuries. Cano's reputation precedes what fantasy owners should expect from him the rest of the season.
