Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has a broken bone in his hand after being hit by a pitch Sunday, per cbssports.com. This is a major blow to a Mariners offense that has made huge strides this season and the injury could cost the 35-year old up to a month or more. Cano this season is slashing .289/.383/.444 with four home runs and 23 runs driven in through 38 games this season. Cano has played in at least 150 games in every season since 2006. He was replaced in the game by utility infielder Andrew Romine but also expect Taylor Motter to see time at second base moving forward in Cano's absence.--Joey C - RotoBaller
