Toronto Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna has been out on administrative leave following an arrest and assault charge, and he’s not likely to be back anytime soon. On Monday, MLB announced the administrative leave for Osuna has been extended through May 21, but that’s just a formality, as he’ll be out much longer than that. Osuna’s initial hearing is on June 18 and there is a very high degree of likelihood a long suspension is on the way. Osuna owners need to prepare as if they won’t have him again for a long time, if not the rest of the year. The Blue Jays have only had one save opportunity in Osuna’s absence, which went to Tyler Clippard, but as of now it’s difficult to say if that’s how the ninth inning is going to shake up every night. For now, Clippard is a must-own.--John Smith
