8/17:Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Rhys Hoskins reached a significant milestone in the second half of Thursday’s doubleheader at Citizens Bank Park against the New York Mets. The 25-year-old batted cleanup and drilled a key three-run home run in the first inning, pulling his team ahead after they’d gone down by two runs. It was Hoskins’ 25th home run of the season to go with 77 RBI and a .256 batting average. The sophomore has now recorded at least one hit in five of his last six games after having gone six consecutive games without a hit. The Phillies prevailed to pull within a game and a half behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL East.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
