Rashid Shaheed Won't Play In Week 14
1 year agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed's quadriceps injury is more serious than initially believed and will not play in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers, according to a source. His injury was initially believed to be a contusion, but a second opinion showed something more serious. Shaheed was listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, but he will not be active on Sunday and needs to be removed from starting fantasy lineups. The 25-year-old was injured in Week 12 and did not play last week, either. Chris Olave is expected to play despite dealing with the flu, but tight ends Taysom Hill (foot, hand) and Juwan Johnson (quadriceps) are up in the air to play, which means rookie A.T. Perry could have another chance for a substantial role in New Orleans' passing attack this weekend. With Shaheed out last week, Perry caught one of three targets for 30 yards.
