Rams Restructure Cooper Kupp's Deal
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Rams converted $13.92 million of wide receiver Cooper Kupp's base salary into a signing bonus on Wednesday, creating $10.44 million in salary cap space for this year, according to a source. Before the move, the Rams had only $1.3 million in 2023 salary cap space, so this gives them some more room to add to their roster ahead of training camp. Kupp played in only nine games in 2022 due to an ankle injury that required tightrope surgery, but he has been limited during offseason workouts and appears to be on track to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. The 29-year-old All-Pro could take a slight step back if LA's offense continues to struggle, but he will undoubtedly still be a target hog and worthy of a high-end WR1 selection in fantasy drafts.
