2 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams offered multiple first-round picks in exchange for Carolina Panthers defensive end Brian Burns. The Panthers have already traded away star running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Robbie Anderson, and Burns is another potential trade chip ahead of Tuesday's deadline. The Rams won last year's Super Bowl but have been in a downward spiral so far in 2022, so it looks like they're once again comfortable with throwing draft picks away in exchange for established talent that could help them turn things around. Burns will be a free agent after this season and currently has 36 tackles (21 solo), eight tackles for loss, nine QB hits and five sacks in eight games. LA's defense would have gained a significant playmaker had Carolina accepted that deal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
