Raiders Considering Trading Derek Carr?
4 years agoTeams have been calling the Las Vegas Raiders to gauge interest in trading for quarterback Derek Carr, and the Raiders appear open to considering it in some form or fashion, at least right now and as long as they can replace him with someone on the same level. Teams think that the Raiders are open to dealing either Carr or Marcus Mariota. They guaranteed backup Nathan Peterman $1 million in 2021, which could be a sign they'll part with a QB. Carr threw for a career-high 4,103 yards with 27 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2020 and was Pro Football Focus' ninth highest-rated signal-caller. The 29-year-old had a solid season for Las Vegas, but he still wasn't much more than a midrange QB2 with occasional streaming appeal in the right matchups. The Raiders have some young and exciting pieces around Carr, but a change of scenery might be in store for him.
