2 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers is out of the starting lineup on Thursday against left-hander Jeffrey Springs and the undefeated Tampa Bay Rays. Fantasy managers will need to sit Devers on the bench for his day off, but he should be back in there on Friday. The 26-year-old Dominican has been his usual solid self at the plate to begin the 2023 campaign, hitting .280 (14-for-50) with three doubles, a league-leading five home runs, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored. Devers is a must-start anytime he's in the lineup. With him getting a breather, Bobby Dalbec is manning the hot corner and is batting fifth on Thursday against Springs.
